The law enforcers have clarified about the position of the experienced tactician who has been linked to AFC Leopards in recent days
Kenya Police FC have reaffirmed that head coach Francis Baraza will stay with the club next season following speculation that has linked him to AFC Leopards.
Baraza joined Police at the start of last season and led them to an impressive third place finish with 64 points, six behind champions Gor Mahia.

K’Ogalo will begin the 2023-24 campaign against Batoto Ba Mungu while Tore Bobe have Kariobangi Sharks on matchday one.
Police were the biggest spenders last season and have loosened the purse strings yet again following the big money arrivals of Kenneth Muguna and Tyson Otieno plus the addition of Nzoia Sugar head coach Salim Babu as Baraza’s assistant.
That has still not stopped reported interest in the coach from a number of teams with AFC Leopards heavily linked this week following the departure of Patrick Aussems.

The tactician has terminated his contract with the club he led to fourth place in the 2022/23 season.
However, the law enforcers have seemed to make a ‘hands off our coach’ statement going by their latest social media post.
“Coach Francis Baraza came on board at the early start of season 2022/2023 and we had already lost our first two matches,” Police said via a Twitter post on Thursday.
“After taking over, he won 18, drew 10, lost 4 matches. Finished position 3 with 64 points. Next season mambo inachemka hadi kileleni (next season it will be fireworks to the end).”

FOOTBALL Denis Oliech: This is why most Kenyan footballers struggle to turn professional in Europe
The iconic former Harambee Stars footballer has revealed why many Kenyans struggle to create a career abroad.
Police had a poor start to the season in 2022-23 when they failed to win any of their first five matches which largely contributed to their failure to challenge Gor Mahia and Tusker for the Premier League title.
They, however, made a big statement by scoring the most goals (57) and had the joint best defence (22 goals conceded) which has left the club hierarchy with optimism that a title tilt is possible next season.
Baraza is no stranger to winning titles as he led the now defunct Sony Sugar to the 2006 Premier League crown alongside his now assistant Babu, a combination Police hope will yield a similar outcome.
