Kinanga was not getting alot of game time last season but has now had an extended run in the team since Elvis Rupia’s departure.
Kenya Police FC striker Clinton Kinanga has revealed his ambitions for the remaining Football Kenya Federation Premier League matches of the season following his brace in their 2-0 win over Murang'a Seal last Sunday.
Kinanga came off the bench before scoring a brace, which was enough to earn his side all the three points to put them to 20 points for the season, just seven behind leaders Gor Mahia.
The lanky forward has revealed that he feels good to have found his confidence flowing again considering he had been relegated to being a fringe player who was barely getting gametime over the last couple of seasons.

FKFPL Logarusic discloses Kenya Police’s advantage in FKFPL title race
Logarusic is adamant his charges must take it “game by game”, describing the league race as a “marathon and not a sprint”.
“When a player finds playing momentum and you find that you are impacting the games early, you gain confidence,” Kinanga told Pulse Sports.
Last season, Kinanga’s game time was limited because Elvis ‘Machapo’ Rupia was having the season of his life, scoring a record-breaking 27 goals, while Derrick Otanga, who signed mid-season on a short-term contract, was preferred as the first choice back-up by then-coach Francis Baraza.
“I was not getting alot of gametime last season but this season, I have found a lot of playing time and that is why we are performing.”

Kinanga has admitted he does not mind starting or coming off the bench as long as he gets enough game time and is impacting the game in a positive way whenever he plays.
“Whether starting or sitting on the bench, I feel it is okay.”
Kinanga has revealed he aims at scoring at least 10 league goals for the season. Considering he is already at four, he feels it is putting him in a good position to achieve that target.
