A former Nzoia Sugar FC player is excited about their next challenge at a Tanzania Premier League outfit.

Kenyan international defender Salim Hamisi has officially become part of the roster at Tanzania Premier League powerhouse Geita Gold FC.

The seasoned footballer, who had been a free agent since bidding farewell to Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Nzoia Sugar FC in February, has found a new home to showcase his exceptional skills.

During his time as a free agent, he remained committed to his craft by diligently maintaining his form and fitness through rigorous training with National Division One side Kisumu All Stars.

Expressing his enthusiasm about this new opportunity, Hamisi shared his excitement with Pulse Sports, stating, "I am very happy to join Geita Gold and to have the opportunity to progress with such a recognized and ambitious club whose history is well known to everyone."

"I can't wait to discover these new surroundings and to work hard with my new teammates to give back to the club the trust it has placed in me,” he added.

Salim Hamisi's rise to prominence in the world of football traces back to his time with another FKFPL side  Posta Rangers.

It was there that he first showcased his defensive prowess, capturing the attention of enthusiasts and pundits alike.

His remarkable performances paved the way for a move to Western Stima, where he continued to shine as a dependable central defender.

Notably, he also left an indelible mark during his stint with Sony Sugar FC, further solidifying his reputation as a steadfast player who could hold the defensive line with unwavering confidence.

As Hamisi joins Geita Gold, he becomes the latest addition to the team's efforts to enhance their squad and make a strong impact in the Tanzania top-flight league.

He is not alone in this journey, as former Tusker defender Karlos Kirenge has also signed up with the club, adding another layer of depth and experience to Geita Gold's lineup.
