Kibwage has revealed the positive he found in Tusker’s 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers AFC Leopards.

Tusker FC vice-captain Michael Kibwage has revealed the positive thing about the side’s 0-0 draw with AFC Leopards on Monday evening that could help revitalise their season over the remaining games of the season.

The Brewers have started indifferently this season and find themselves 12 points off the leaders Gor Mahia who are on 27 points after 12 games played, but they do have a game in hand against Bidco United.

Speaking to the club’s media channel after the match, Kibwage was happy that the side finally managed to keep a clean sheet after going several games without managing to keep one, which is a positive they must take going into the next match.

“The positive is that we kept a clean sheet. If you look, even when we have been winning, we have been conceding but we did not against Leopards. We were solid and I feel grateful for having the defensive heart to help keep it,” Kibwage said.

“Next time will now be about working on that aspect.”

The Harambee Stars defender has revealed that the side is grateful for the point earned considering they were playing away from home.

“It is not the result we wanted (against AFC Leopards). We wanted all the three points but we thank God for that one point he has given us,” Kibwage said.

“We were away and we were playing against a good team. AFC are a good team who are competing in the league. Considering we were away, one point is not bad.

“If you look, the last game we played here was before the international break and then if you look, we had another extra week because we did not play a game, so the momentum we had from our previous game against City Stars helped us maintain our tempo.

“We started slowly in the first half, but in the second half, we injected a bit of pace to our game but we believe going forward, it will help us.”
