Wakiso Giants forwards Shariph Kimbowa and Moses Aliro were given starting roles in Young Africans Sports Club friendly against Nyasa Bullets in the Malawian capital Lilongwe, on Thursday, July 6.

Kimbowa and Aliro were invited by the Tanzania club for trials with a high prospect of a contract ahead of the 2023/24 season.

They made the starting line-up for the Young Africans in a game organized to celebrate the country’s Independence Day at Bingu National Stadium.

The match that ended in a goalless draw only lasted 70 minutes. In the 11th minute, Young Africans could have grabbed the lead off Aliro’s freekick which met Saed Mohamed’s header that went off the crossbar.

Kimbowa and Aliro had 15 goal contributions for Wakiso Giants in the 2022/23 season with the former scoring nine goals while the latter had three and as many assists.
