"They are going to give their all and fight for everything on the pitch, but we have made thorough preparations during this short break," he added.

On his return to the Bombo Military Grounds to face former paymasters UPDF FC, Kitara FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo has sent a stern warning to his team.

The youthful tactician has cautioned the Royals to take extreme care against a team playing for survival when they lock horns on Saturday in the Uganda Premier League.

As Kitara sit third on the log with 29 points after 15 matches, UPDF, on the other hand, are second from the base with just nine points.

“We begin the second round with a tricky game against a side that is fighting for their life in the league," Ssenyondo was quoted as saying on the club website.

"They are going to give their all and fight for everything on the pitch, but we have made thorough preparations during this short break," he added.

"We’ve had test matches and also strengthened our squad, which we feel will match this test and also improve us in the remaining campaign,” Ssenyondo summed.

In the reverse fixture in the first round, Kitara edged it 1-0 in Masindi, courtesy of a Christopher Kawagu own-goal.

Meanwhile, Kitara could have two new faces, Lawrence Bukenya and Arthur Kiggundu, make their debuts, having joined in the January transfer window from Wakiso Giants and Express FC,  respectively.
