Godfrey Ssekibengo, John Innocent Kisolo and Amisi Bwangani earned themselves a contract with the tax collectors after the USSSA games.

Godfrey Ssekibengo was a revelation at this year’s national school football championships, where he led St. Henry’s Kitovu to the final, losing out to an experienced St. Mary’s Secondary School Kitende.

The attacking midfielder, alongside his schoolmates John Innocent Kisolo and Amisi Bwangani, earned themselves a contract with the tax collectors.

Ssekibengo made his debut on September 22nd in the club’s 2-0 victory over Gaddafi in Lugazi.

Ssekibengo relished the opportunity, terming his debut a “dream come true”.

“Making my debut for URA FC and in the UPL will forever be one of my biggest career moments,” The youngster told the club portal recently.

“It was a dream come true for me, and the fact that we were home, the fans showed me alot of love and support, my teammates kept pushing me on, which boosted my confidence and put pressure off me,” he adds.

The sixteen-year-old has returned to his school, Kitovu, to concentrate on the upcoming ordinary-level examinations before he returns.

He promises to work hard to start earning his stripes at the club.

“That time was precious and I want to continue working hard so that I can get more playing time.”
