Ndejje University lost 4-3 to Kaaro Karungi and 3-0 to Lugazi FC in the opening games before Thursday’s 3-1 thrashing by the Cops.

Ndejje University suffered their third straight loss in the betPawa FUFA Big League on Thursday after going down 3-1 to Police at Kavumba.

The students have shipped in ten goals in only three matches, sending them to the bottom of the log.

They lost 4-3 to Kaaro Karungi, and 3-0 to Lugazi FC before Thursday’s thrashing by the Cops.

Coach Raymond Komakech says that the team started their preparations late probably because of the late arrivals of their players, who are mainly students and reported based on the academic calendar.

“Other people are in competition while we’re still in the preseason because they had time to prepare, unlike us, so we are preparing while in competition, but every game we play, we improve,” Komakech told media after Thursday’s loss.

Routine

The coach related their current situation to their poor start last season and promised to do the same but earlier this time round.

“We started the same way last season because of the same reasons but we improved in the second round; however, this time, we want to do it faster,” he promised.

Ndejje started last season with a single point in the first three games and managed only 16 in the first round.

They returned better at the start of the season, winning seven games and collecting 26 points to accumulate 42 points that saw them finish 6th on the table.
