The Slum Boys have struggled in recent years with relegation now looking like a very real possibility. Korea was appointed head coach at the start of the month and tasked with helping steer the club away from the drop, but he has failed to win any of his first four games in charge despite pulling off spirited performances in their last two games against Kenya Police and Mathare United.
Speaking to Pulse Sports, Korea said: “I cannot say we will pull ourselves out of relegation scrambling. I will say that we must win all our remaining matches, no more no less.
It is all good dominating games, but goals ultimately decide games. You guys in the media will write that Mathare dominated KCB but lost, which is the reality!”

Mathare were clearly the better side in their encounters against both Kenya Police and KCB, but they were profligate in front of goal and made to pay with a single chance conceded in both games. Korea has told them what they need to do in order to avoid losing their status as a top flight club.
“I should not have lost the games against Kenya Police and Mathare United because we were clearly better, but we have to start scoring goals. We just need to score goals and win. There is no time for drawing, let alone losing anymore.
“My boys should not go to games with the mentality that they are fighting relegation. They should play to win. It really is that simple.They have to have a positive mindset which will help reduce the pressure on themselves to maintain the status as a top flight club.
“That is why you are seeing us playing positive football because we are playing to win whilst enjoying ourselves. That is what will keep us up.

Mathare are 17th on 22 points and need to win all their remaining games to secure a relegation playoff place against the team that will come third in the National Super League.
