The Georgia international is edging closer to joining the Ligue 1 champions, and Napoli head coach Antonio Conte has labelled this January "terrible" due to multiple player exits.

Kvaratskhelia nears PSG switch

Reports from RMC Sport and Foot Mercato confirm that Kvaratskhelia is on the brink of a move to PSG, with the French giants set to finalise an €80 million deal with Napoli.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia shined with Osimhen for Napoli.

The agreement is expected to see Kvaratskhelia sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with PSG, where he will likely feature as a key player on Luis Enrique’s left flank.

Initial negotiations included a player-plus-cash offer of €60 million and Milan Skriniar, but Napoli declined, holding out for a straight cash deal.

The departure of Kvaratskhelia, who was a pivotal figure in Napoli’s 2023 Serie A-winning campaign, leaves a significant gap in the squad, but Conte has confirmed that no immediate replacement plans are in place.

Conte frustrated with Napoli’s January window

In a pre-match press conference ahead of Napoli’s match against Verona, Conte did not hold back on his frustration with the ongoing January transfer window.

Napoli manager Antonio Conte says Victor Osimhen won't be back in the squad.

The former Chelsea and Inter boss said, “This month has been terrible for us. Lots of players already had their bags packed, and keeping them is never easy.

“I can’t wait for January to end. It creates problems, but we have to carry on being as good as we’ve been so far.”

Napoli have already seen movement in the transfer market, with Elia Caprile departing for Cagliari and Michael Folorunsho joining Fiorentina on loan.

The club has brought in Simone Scuffet and Luis Hasa as replacements, but Conte is still wary of further disruptions.
