The camp will feature some of the world-class coaches.

Spanish football top tier league, LaLiga has announced plans to set up a camp in August which will offer upcoming footballers and coaches from the country access to world-class coaching.

LaLiga have previously set up successful camps across Africa most notably in South Africa where they have been staged in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and KwaZulu-Natal.

The league prides itself on assuring the highest and most competitive international standards with the attendance of their UEFA PRO license coaches who run and manage the camps.

Players from the age bracket of 10-17 both boys and girls earn an opportunity to be evaluated and could benefit from a fantastic opportunity of training with an official LaLiga club in Spain over a 10-day period.

Speaking at a conference on Tuesday, La Liga Africa Managing Director Marcos Pelegrin revealed that the camp is still in the planning phase with the tentative date set for August.

“We still need to polish the details, it is something that we will be announcing officially next month and it is very exciting for us,” said Pelegrin.

The camp will focus on insight into the tactical, technical, physical, and psychological aspects needed to perform at the highest level in world football.

The objective of the camp will be to develop youth football, to give disadvantaged youth from all over Kenya - who would not ordinarily have access to the opportunity – the chance to be coached by top LaLiga coaches.
