The Golden Boy Award honors players under 21 in Europe, with Yamal surpassing Real Madrid's Arda Guler and Paris Saint-Germain's Warren Zaire-Emery.

Yamal was named Young Player of Euro 2024 in Germany, where he became the youngest player to compete in the finals. His goal in the semi-final victory over France made him the tournament's youngest scorer.
