Nigerian forward Cyriel Dessers rose to the occasion for Rangers, grabbing a last-minute winning goal in the dramatic 4-3 victory over Dundee to mark his 100th appearance at the club.

Dessers was the hero of the day, as Barry Ferguson’s side overturned a two-goal deficit against Dundee.

The forward has received criticism from fans and media for the number of chances he misses, but he shut the critics up in the end.

After a breathtaking encounter, Dessers spoke to the media, and he was left stunned at how the day unfolded.

"You'd need to give me a few minutes to sum that game up - I can't fathom what just happened,” Desser said.

"From the first minute until the end, it was a roller-coaster. There was a lot of pain for 91 minutes, but to win this feels great.

While the striker praised his side’s mentality, he also acknowledged the need to make games less stressful.

"At 2-0 down, it was very hard mentally. The mentality of coming back showed again, he said.

"But unfortunately we're having to show it too much. It would be a lot easier if we threw the first punch and they had to come back, he added.

However, overall, he expressed joy for marking a landmark appearance with a goal.

"It was very nice to score so late, but the 90 minutes before that were not that nice. At the end, if you can score like that in your 100th game, it is a very nice feeling," he said.
