Barcelona's front three shine as they romp Dortmund to take a huge first leg advantage.

Barcelona are the top-scoring team in Europe this season, and tonight, they were at their unforgiving best as they beat Dortmund 4-0 in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter final clash.

Robert Lewandowski's brace followed Raphinha's opener before Lamine Yamal closed off the scoring, as the Barcelona starting forwards blew past Nico Kovac's side to put one foot in the semi-final.

Key match details

Hansi Flick's side began confidently, with Lamine Yamal and Lewandowski creating early chances, but they had to wait until the 25th minute to find the opener. Raphinha broke the deadlock, poking in a Pau Cubarsi flick already headed for goal.

Dortmund pushed back, with Carney Chukwuemeka and Serhou Guirassy testing the Barcelona defence, but their efforts were ultimately unsuccessful, as the Blaugrana’s snappy offside trap was sharp as always.

The visitors' hopes of a comeback were extinguished after the restart when Lewandowski scored a towering header. Raphinha and Yamal played a part in the build-up, as the Spaniard crossed to the Brazilian, who headed the ball towards the Polish striker, who nodded it home from close range.

It soon became three, with Lewandowski getting his second of the match. The former Dortmund striker completed a sweeping counterattacking move to put Barcelona firmly in control.

The rout was completed when Raphinha delivered a sublime assist for Lamine Yamal to seal the win with a stunning Romario-esque toe-poke finish.

The treble talks for Barcelona are well and truly alive, as they inch closer to Champions League triumph alongside the progress they have made in LALIGA and the Copa del Rey
