While Barcelona dominated proceedings, Young Boys kept them at bay, until just around the half-hour mark when the Blaugrana pounced again. Raphinha reacted quickest after Pedri's shot got blocked and thundered home to double the Blaugrana’s lead in the 34th minute. Pedri was involved again for the third, delivering an inch-perfect cross from a kick that, in turn, was powerfully headed home by Inigo Martínez.
Unrelenting, Barcelona resumed after the break, with Lewandowski nodding in Martínez's cleverly headed cutback to extend their lead.
Barcelona were cruising to victory, and the Catalans added a fifth goal in the dying minutes as Alejandro Balde's cross was inadvertently turned into his own net by Mohamed Camara. The win helped the Blaugrana accrue their first set on points on the board in the UCL’s league phase, after they were shocked by Monaco in matchday one.
