After a two-year blackout, Kenyan football is set to return to TV through an alliance between FKF and a prominent African sports broadcaster.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is set to announce a significant partnership that could reshape the landscape of Kenyan football.

The long-awaited unveiling, scheduled for Thursday, August 31, 2023, marks a crucial step towards revitalizing the sport in the nation.

Anticipation is running high as stakeholders are set to gather at a prestigious Nairobi hotel for the unveiling ceremony tomorrow.

After a two-year hiatus in the shadows, Kenyan football is poised to make a triumphant return to television screens, thanks to a strategic alliance between FKF and Azam TV, a Tanzanian broadcaster specializing in Pay-TV services.

Collaboration between the Sports Ministry and FKF has been instrumental in orchestrating this milestone. Their joint efforts reflect a shared commitment to restoring Kenyan football's visibility and vibrancy.

The recently commenced 2023/2024 season holds great promise as matches are set to hit the airwaves this weekend, allowing fans to once again engage with their favorite teams.

Kenyan football clubs are set to reap substantial financial benefits from both the broadcast partnership and an impending title sponsorship deal.

The financial injection arrives at a crucial juncture, elevating clubs' abilities to enhance their operations and support their players.

Notably, the absence of televised matches over the past two years, following the departure of Chinese broadcaster Startimes, had cast a shadow over Kenyan football.

The forthcoming broadcast deal signifies a new dawn for the sport, with a promising cascade of positive impacts. Not only does this partnership bring the exhilaration of live matches back to fans' living rooms, but it also stands as a pivotal measure against the mounting concern of match-fixing.

The financial support from the broadcast partner, undisclosed as of yet, offers a ray of hope for struggling clubs. Grants channeled through this partnership could inject much-needed resources into clubs' operations, allowing them to nurture talent and maintain their competitiveness.

Simultaneously, FKF is on the brink of finalizing another groundbreaking deal with an international gaming company, signaling the return of a title sponsor for the FKF Premier League.

Since 2021, the league had been without a title sponsor following the termination of SportPesa contract.
