Cheick Doucoure, a midfielder for Crystal Palace, has become a potential target for Liverpool this summer with Henderson getting close to leaving Anfield.

Liverpool are looking to go into the transfer market for a midfielder after reports suggest that the Reds have agreed a deal with Al Ettifaq for Jordan Henderson

This summer, the Reds rebuilt their midfield, and Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have already joined the team.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to reshape the team after having a difficult 2022/2023 season where they could not challenge for the league title and missed out on Champions League football.

With Henderson leaving Anfield this summer, Liverpool have identified Doucoure as a potential replacement for the English midfielder.

Liverpool target Doucoure

According to reports from Daily Mail, Liverpool are not done with their signings and could still bring in another midfielder this summer.

Doucoure has become the latest target for the Reds after having a good season with Crystal Palace.

The midfielder had a standout Premier League debut season and recently won the Crystal Palace F.C. Player of the Year award.

The Malian international, who just joined the club last summer, is expected to fetch a high price from the Eagles, who are likely to hold out for more.

The midfielder moved to Palace from Lens for £22 million last summer and made 35 appearances across all competitions as Palace avoided relegation.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also looking at other targets and have been linked with a move for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.

The Reds have apparently turned their attention elsewhere in their pursuit of the star since the Saints are supposedly demanding a £50 million cost.

Liverpool could also lose another key player in their midfield this summer as Al Ittihad begin discussion for the signing of Fabinho.

The Saudi Arabian side have made a £40 million offer for midfielder Fabinho, who was not included in the club's pre-season tour on Saturday.

However, It is still unclear whether a deal can be reached this summer, but given that Jurgen Klopp left Fabinho out of his 32-man preseason team, it is obvious that his future is in doubt.
