Liverpool legend John Barnes bemoaned Brentford's defensive disarray against his former club in the Premier League.
Liverpool legend and former England winger John Barnes has criticised Brentford’s lack of defensive discipline in their heavy defeat against the Reds on Saturday.
Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that it was a bad day at the office for Nigeria’s Frank Onyeka and his fellow Bees following a 4-1 defeat at home and Barnes was not impressed by the defending.

Barnes bemoans Brentford’s defending
It was a game of errors from the Bees as they allowed Liverpool to extend their lead at the top of the table with an easy win at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Egypt’s Mohamed Salah came off the bench to benefit from one of the errors alongside fellow substitute, Cody Gakpo, who netted the fourth goal.
Following the defeat, former Liverpool star, Barnes, believes Brentford’s coach, Thomas Frank will be bitterly disappointed by his side’s organisation at the back against the Reds.
"The goals were defensive mistakes,” he said per Premier League. “Thomas Frank won’t be happy. He prides himself on organisation and discipline, and the discipline was not there all afternoon," he added.
Barnes suggested Frank’s priority will be tightening up the defence that has been breached far too easily in recent weeks, having conceded nine in their last five matches.
The Bees boss will need to address these defensive frailties quickly if the club is to pull away from relegation scrap.
Brentford currently sit 14th on the table with 25 points, just six points above relegation after 24 matches.
