A rampant Liverpool demolished Norwich 5-2 at Anfield to move into the 5th Round of the FA Cup.
All the pre-game talk was about Jurgen Klopp's impending exit and Liverpool took advantage of the emotions by spanking a poor Norwich side 5-2.
How it happened
Klopp's men started strongly with Darwin Núñez in particular posing a constant threat.
In the 16th minute, debutant James McConnell set up Curtin Jones for a deserved breakthrough, making it Jones's fifth goal of the campaign.
Norwich equalized from a corner with Ben Gibson's header but the home side regained the lead just before halftime as Núñez capitalized on a Norwich turnover.
Defensive lapses from Norwich continued, and Diogo Jota, exploiting a Norwich mistake, scored a fine third.
Liverpool substitutes combined for a fourth goal, with Virgil van Dijk heading in from Dominik Szoboszlai's corner. Despite Norwich's best efforts, The Reds emerged 5-2 winners to advance.
