The Dutch boss is flying with Liverpool, who are top of the Premier League table

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has etched his name into Premier League history, equalling a record held by former Chelsea bosses Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti.

The Reds’ thrilling 3-2 victory over Southampton not only bolstered their title ambitions but also put Slot’s impact since his arrival at Anfield into perspective.

Slot matches historic record

Slot became the fastest manager to secure 10 wins in the competition, achieving the milestone in just 12 games—a feat no other Premier League manager has surpassed.

Slot’s rapid rise to 10 wins places him among elite company in Premier League history. Both Pep Guardiola and Sir Alex Ferguson needed significantly more matches to reach the same mark, with the Spaniard needing 16 games and the Manchester United legend needing 24.

Slot’s arrival at Anfield has rejuvenated Liverpool and led them to the summit of the Premier League table, giving them a great chance of lifting the Premier League title this season.

Despite setbacks against Southampton in their most recent match, Liverpool displayed determination to earn all three points and maintain an eight-point lead over defending champions Manchester City.

Liverpool prevail in dramatic encounter

The Reds were made to work hard for their win at St. Mary’s. Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring with a stunning strike after a Southampton error.

However, the Saints responded through Adam Armstrong, who converted a rebound after his penalty was saved by Caoimhin Kelleher.

Southampton took the lead in the second half with a swift counterattack finished by Mateus Fernandes. Yet, Liverpool roared back, with Mohamed Salah scoring twice to give The Reds a deserved win.
