The complete breakdown of the 2024 Ballon d'Or voting has been released.

Following the announcement of Rodri as the winner of the ever-so-coveted Ballon d'Or, pipping Real Madrid's Vinicius, fans have eagerly awaited for the breakdown of the voting.

For the first time in many years, the Ballon d'Or did not have a guaranteed shoo-in, with three candidates, Rodri, Vinicius and Jude Bellingham all in the run-in until the end.

Hence, Rodri winning the award was controversial, as supporters of the other two candidates felt hard done by. This led fans to call for the voting list, and in a recent report, French publication L’Equipe, per Marca, made that available to the public.

How the Ballon d'Or was voted

The Ballon d’Or is voted by journalist delegates from the top 100 countries in the FIFA rankings. The journalists rank players by positions, and after the polling, the points are calculated.

Rodri won by amassing 1170 points a mere 41 points behind second-placed Vinicius Jr, who had 1129 points.
