The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced the official date of the CAF Award ceremony.
The prestigious and recognised award ceremony is set to be held at its usual location in Marrakech, Morocco.
The award takes place every year and is determined by the performance of African players in the world.
With the date of the ceremony fixed, Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman is considered the favourite to win the award.

CAF releases date for Award
The governing body (CAF) have shared a date for the CAF award night on their official X account.
According to CAF_Online on X, a post was shared saying, “It's this time of the year again. 🤩 #CAFAwards2024. December 16. Marrakech, Morocco. Mark your calendars.”
The award ceremony is set to be held on December 16, which is one month and a few weeks away.
Last year, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was announced as the best African player of the year after an impressive season with Napoli.
This year another Super Eagles player, Ademola Lookman, could also nick the award, as he is considered the favourite.
The Alalanta man had a remarkable season with the Italian side, helping them win their first European trophy.
The winger also scored a hattrick in the final of the Europa League against Bayer Leverkusen to become the first player in the history of the tournament to reach that feat.
