Bayer Leverkusen striker Boniface has been rated ahead of Osimhen and Lookman for one very funny reason.

Rising Nollywood actor Chukwuebuka Ude has shared his insights on the current state of the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles.

Ude's comments touch on coaching, team dynamics, and the performance of individual players, including a comparison between Ademola Lookman and Victor Boniface.

We dont need a foreign manager - Ude

Ude expressed his belief that a foreign manager isn't the primary solution for the Super Eagles' challenges.

Instead, he advised that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) needs to empower the current coaching staff.

"I don’t think we need a foreign manager. What we need is to give the manager freedom to do what he deems fit, without interference from the NFF," Ude stated.

A key point of Ude's analysis focused on the team's apparent lack of cohesion.

He likened their playing style to the video game Counter-Strike 2, where players prioritise individual action over teamwork.

"It’s like they’re playing Counter-Strike 2 instead of football, everyone’s trying to solo," Ude observed.

Ude picks Boniface ahead of Lookman, Osimhen

Interestingly, Ude singled out Victor Boniface as his favourite Super Eagles player. He chose the Bayer Leverkusen striker ahead of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman not because of footballing reason but because of his humour.

"He is my favourite Nigerian player because of his humour. Boniface is a very interesting case," Ude explained.

However, his analysis of Boniface's on-field performance was more critical. Ude noted the stark contrast between Boniface's performances for his club, Bayer Leverkusen, and his appearances for the Super Eagles.

He continued, "He plays completely differently for Leverkusen compared to the Super Eagles. With the national team, it feels like there’s no clear instruction. When to drop back, when to help teammates get the ball – nothing."

Ude believes that with clearer direction from the coaching staff, Boniface's potential within the national team could be significantly unlocked.
