Lookman's future at Atalanta has become uncertain following a public disagreement with Gian Piero Gasperini.

According to Fichajes, the Nigerian, who has impressed with his performances in Serie A, is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League.

As per the report, his versatility as an attacker makes him an attractive prospect for Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Reds are considering potential replacements for Mohamed Salah, and Lookman's attacking prowess could fill a void.

Chelsea, meanwhile, may need to bolster their attacking options due to potential departures, with Joao Felix unlikely to be at the club next season, Jadon Sancho reportedly not joining this summer and Mykhaylo Mudryk’s future uncertain due to his provisional doping ban and possible four-year punishment.

Atalanta could be tempted to sell Lookman if they receive a substantial offer, given his contract situation, and the player's desire for a new challenge is also a factor in the potential transfer.

What next for Lookman?

The Nigerian, currently on international duty with the Super Eagles, should play for Eric Chelle’s men in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifying match with Zimbabwe in Uyo.

Nigeria beat Rwanda 2-0 on Friday to revive their outside chance of qualification.
