Fans of Ademola Lookman based in France can no longer watch Atalanta legally due to a new injunction from the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry.
Football matches involving Atalanta will no longer be broadcasted in France due to a new injunction from the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry.
Qatari broadcaster BeIN Sports have announced that no more Atalanta games will be broadcast in France in the near future.
The club is led by Nigerian star Ademola Lookman who has scored 11 goals in 18 games for the club across all competitions but his fans in France can no longer legally watch him on television.
Why Atalanta games will no longer be shown in France
According to Calciomercato, Atalanta games will be broadcast in France in the near future following an injection made by the Directorate General for Competition, Consumers and Fraud Prevention (DGCCRF), a part of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry.
The injunction is based on Atalanta’s shirt sponsor, Plus 500, who offer “investment services relating to risky financial contracts.
These advertisements are “prohibited by the Consumer Code,” BeIN Sports were told by the DGCCRF. The Qatari broadcasters confirmed their intention to find a solution with the DGCCRF, keen to reoffer Atalanta matches again.
