Bruno Onyemaechi isn’t just winning off the pitch.
The 25-year-old talented left-back is also making waves in his football career.
The Boavista defender made his international debut for Nigeria in September 2023, playing the full 90 minutes in a dominant 6–0 victory over São Tomé and Príncipe during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Although Nigeria ultimately lost to Ivory Coast in the final, Onyemaechi failed to get a single minute of action at AFCON 2023 under Jose Peseiro, despite being fully fit.
However, since the disappointing final loss, he has worked his way into becoming one of the most reliable defenders in the national team.
This season, Onyemaechi has continued to impress for Boavista, racking up 17 appearances and scoring two goals in the league.
