Luis Suarez has hinted at Messi joining Barcelona this summer with a post on his Instagram account
Former Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has hinted at Lionel Messi’s return to Barcelona after posting a cryptic message on his Instagram page.
Messi nears Barcelona return
Barcelona and Messi are believed to be doing everything possible to facilitate a reunion as the current Paris Saint-German attacker grows more disillusioned in France.
Former teammate and one of Messi’s best friends has now stoked the flames of a move back to Barcelona for the World Cup winner, by posting a thinly veiled hint at where the Argentine will play next season.
On his Instagram story, posted a picture of himself with Messi while they played together in Barcelona with the back arrow emoji and a tag of Lionel Messi.
Suarez predicts Messi return as PSG star considers future
Suarez is one of a few people who could have genuine information about Messi’s next career move, and his post has many theorising that Messi is indeed headed back to Catalonia when his current deal with PSG runs out in the summer.
Messi has had a telling season at PSG, failing to win the fans over despite scoring 20 goals and providing 18 assists in 35 games across all competitions, prompting him to ache for the familiar feel of home in Barcelona.
Several notable Barcelona legends have called for Messi to return to Spain, but the club face a daunting task to re-sign him considering his large wages and their meagre resources.
Meanwhile, LaLiga President Javier Tebas has outlined the only conditions under which Messi can join Barcelona this summer
LaLiga president Javier Tebas has told Barcelona what they have to do to sign Lionel Messi, as he stated that they are unable to bring the Argentine back in their current state.
