The former Vipers SC player didn't return to the second half as he was replaced by Croatian native Adrian Liber.

Days after his official unveiling at Croatian top-tier side NK Slaven Belupo Koprivnica, winger Abdu Lumala made his maiden competitive debut with the club.

The pacy attacker was tied to a contract after impressing in the club's trainings and friendly matches, but his debut didn't pan to plan.

Lumala, was named in the first eleven, but lasted just 45 minutes, as Slaven Belupo suffered a 1-0 defeat to NK Osijek on Friday in the Croatian HNL (Super League).

The former Vipers SC player didn't return to the second half as he was replaced by Croatian native Adrian Liber.

Argentine forward Ramon Mierez scored Osijek's only goal in the sixth minute as they condemned Slaven Belupo to defeat.

Following the defeat, Slaven Belupo descended to ninth on the 10-team table, having accumulated 27 points in 28 games this season.

Rijeka, Hadjuk Split and Dynamo Zagreb sit first, second and third with 59, 55 and 54 points, respectively. Osijek are fifth with 39 points.

Meanwhile, it should be recalled that Lumala was also named in the first eleven last Saturday as Slaven Belupo defeated NK Olimpija Ljubljana 1-0 in a friendly.
