After two draws, Madiba returned to winning as they got an away win against Ikorodu City FC.
The Oshodi Boys defeated the Oga Boys 3-1 in front of their home fans to finish the first stanza of the 2023 Nigeria National League, NNL, as the table leader of the Southern Group B3.
The Oshodi boys, who garnered 8 points to sit at the summit of the log, played four matches; winning two and picking up two points from the other two.
Going into the match against Ikorodu City, who played host to Madiba FC at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, the visitors began in search of an early goal, but their attempts were denied by the opponent's goalkeeper.
In the 37 minutes, Madiba’s captain Rabiu Nurudeen was brought down in the 18 yard box as the center refree awarded the visitor a penalty, which the club's goalkeeper Tijani Mohammed slotted in.
After a series of contests between the two sides, the match ended 1-0 in favor of the visitor in the first half.

Ikorodu City FC captain Tosin Oyedekun restored parity after scoring via free kick nine minutes into the second half.
The visitors came out of their shell in search of a goal as coach Solomon Bala introduced two players; Egbonwon Harrison and Peter Asuquo, to increase the tempo of the match.
The change paid off in the 74th minute when Peter Asuquo crossed the ball via a corner kick to gift an on rushing Dada Oladimeji, who doubled the lead after he lashed the ball into the roof of the net.

In the 88th minute, Madiba FC player Solomon Aliu was upended by Ikorodu City FC defender to win a penalty. Left winger Babatunde Shaibu rose to the occasion to seal the victory after he scored via spot kick.
The match ended 3-1 in favor of Madiba FC.
