Maduka Okoye ensured Udinese will feature in the Serie A for another season with a stunning performance on the final day.
Frosinone president Maurizio Stirpe has spoken of his immense disappointment after his side's relegation from Serie A, with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye playing a key role in the Canarini's demise.
The club had gone into the final day of the season in the strongest position of the three teams battling to avoid the drop, but a gut-wrenching 1-0 home defeat to Udinese, coupled with Empoli's stoppage-time win over Roma, condemned the club to an immediate return to Serie B.

Frosinone President on Maduka-inspired demotion
At the heart of Frosinone's downfall was the inspired performance of former Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Okoye, who produced a string of stunning saves to deny the hosts and secure survival for Udinese.
The 22-year-old Super Eagles shot-stopper, who was recently recalled to the Nigerian national team, proved to be an impenetrable barrier, much to the anguish of the Frosinone faithful.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, a visibly devastated Stirpe did not hold back in his assessment of a bitterly disappointing day for the club.
"This was the most important game of our history and unfortunately we were unable to make the most of the chances that we created," Stirpe lamented.
"As is often the case, when you waste opportunities, you are punished. This is football. We've experienced joy and disappointment, this is a very bitter evening, but one we must accept."
The Frosinone president acknowledged the unwavering support of the club's supporters but conceded that their criticism must also be accepted in the wake of such a gut-wrenching relegation.
"I am sad for the lads, they deserved better luck. As for the fans, they are always the real 'owners' of the club. Just as we enjoy their compliments when things go well, it is only right that we also accept their criticism."
Frosinone's top-flight stay was ultimately cut short by the heroics of Nigeria's emerging goalkeeping talent, Maduka Okoye, whose exceptional performance condemned the club to the bitter taste of relegation.
