Lamine Yamal's participation in Spain's clash against Serbia is in doubt after he limped out of the stadium.

Spain secured a thrilling victory over Denmark, but an injury scare marred the triumph. Lamine Yamal limped off the stadium, sparking concerns about his availability for Tuesday's upcoming match against Serbia.

What happened

Defending champions Spain hosted Denmark at Estadio de la Condomina for their third UEFA Nation's League game.

The Danes had the better start to the game, but the hosts soon played their way into the match. However, neither team could find the opener.

The European champions eventually got their goal, the solitary one for either side in the match, thanks to a brilliant strike from Martin Zubimendi that proved complicated for Kasper Schmeichel to stop.

Yamal’s injury

Although he was uninvolved in the goal, Yamal had a good game and was a constant threat on the Danish goal. He was substituted in the 93rd minute, walking off with a slight limp.

Spanish sources report that the limp continued until well after the match, as he limped out of the stadium. Muscle overload is believed to be the cause and his involvement in the next game against Serbia is in doubt.

This comes as a source of concern for many Barcelona fans, as they have struggled with injuries to their players this season. In the last few years, they have seen youngsters like Gavi, Pedri and Ansu Fati suffer career-stuttering injuries.
