Ruben Dias has issued a warning to Inter Milan as Manchester City gears up to face the Italian powerhouses in the Champions League final and attempt to win the treble.

Among all teams in the competition, Pep Guardiola's side has only given up five goals in 12 Champions League games this season.

They are on the verge of equalling Manchester United’s 1999 treble record after winning the Premier League and the FA Cup.

The Portuguese have therefore given Inter Milan a warning ahead of the final saying it’s not going to be an easy game for them.

Dias speaks on Guardiola's intelligent tactical change

In the upcoming Champions League final against Manchester City, Ruben Dias believes Inter Milan will have to work hard to get past their clever defence.

According to Dias, when they have the ball, they play with a back three with Stones positioned in midfield. When their opponents have the ball, they switch to a back-four with the England defender.

Speaking ahead of the final on Saturday, which was reported by the Mirror, Dias said, “It's changed the way we do it. The biggest change is to John. From being to my side, he has to go in the middle and have a completely different role from what it used to be.

“He's definitely showed us how good he is and how good he can be in that position. It’s a big step in our team because you end up having an extra man in the middle and then in two seconds he's next to me.”

Dias speaks on CIty’s defensive record

Dias attributed City's strong defensive performance to the back-chemistry fours and their ability to think on their feet in various circumstances.

Still speaking, he said, “We all get along very well and one of the main characteristics we all have is that we're intelligent and adaptive to situations.

“If the solution we are doing is not exactly what we need, we’re able to adapt. These days, it’s a very important characteristic to have not just in one player but in your team.

“That’s why we’re here and have this opportunity to win a third competition this season. Now it’s about making it even more special.

“Everyone wants to be here. We’ve worked a lot to make the final, so we need to make it make count now.”
