The Red Devils have reportedly set an asking price for one of their biggest investments in recent years.
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to cut their losses and part with Antony, two seasons and a half after splurging €103 million to sign him from Ajax.
Antony: Man United flop
The Red Devils went all out for the Brazilian winger at the request of manager Erik ten Hag. With Ajax refusing to budge on their request, Manchester United splashed the cash to bring him to Old Trafford.
Since signing in the summer of 2022, Ten Hag has given Antony ample game time to show his qualities, but he has failed to shine. In his 86 games for the club, he has only managed 12 goals and five assists.
His game time has progressively waned, as Ten Hag seemingly trusts other players in his position over Antony. This season, he has only managed one start, with Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho starting more games on the right flank than him.
Red Devils ready to sell
According to the Daily Mail, the record Premier League winners have given up on the former Sao Paulo winger and have put him up for sale.
For a player they signed for €103 million, the 2013 league champions are prepared to take a major hit and sell him at a discounted price of €48 million.
Per the report, they could also send him out on loan in a bid to improve his value to recoup as much of their investment as possible.
