The PFL heavyweight champion made his presence felt at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
Amad, who was named man of the match, notched two assists, helping to set up goals for Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee, both of whom scored twice.
This victory marked back-to-back home wins for United under Amorim, signalling a positive start to his tenure at Old Trafford after replacing the sacked Erik Ten Hag.
After the match, Amorim praised Amad's contributions but emphasised the need for continued development.
“He is really big in talent, but small in size. He did a great job but he also has to improve,” he stated per the BBC.
The coach also acknowledged the support Amad received from former interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who had helped him refine his skills during his short time in charge.
Amorim noted Amad's strong performance on both ends of the pitch: “He was really good defensively and really good attacking, so he has to continue to play like that,” he added per the club’s website.
“You could feel at the end of the game, he was really tired, so we also have to manage that to increase his physical ability."
This call for improvement comes as Amad has been enjoying a resurgence in form, having recorded four assists in his last three Premier League games.
His ability to influence matches has not gone unnoticed, and with Amorim at the helm, there is optimism about what the future holds for the Ivorian winger after he was sidelined under Ten Hag.
