The Portuguese midfielder has informed his entourage that he has no intention of leaving Old Trafford at the end of the current season, despite growing links to the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid, who are reportedly planning to bolster their midfield options in the upcoming transfer window, had been increasingly credited with an interest in Fernandes.

Some reports even suggested a substantial €100 million bid from the reigning European champions, who have endured a challenging domestic campaign.

However, Football Insider states that Fernandes has made his commitment clear, informing those close to him that he will turn down any advances from Real Madrid.

This decision is likely to deter the Spanish club from pursuing a move for the influential midfielder, prompting them to focus on alternative targets.

Despite Manchester United's struggles for silverware since his arrival in January 2020, Fernandes has consistently been one of Europe's most productive attacking midfielders. While this lack of team success has occasionally led to speculation about a potential desire to seek trophies elsewhere, particularly at a club of Real Madrid's stature, it now appears that the Portuguese international's future lies firmly at Old Trafford.

Since joining Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon, Fernandes has made 280 appearances, scoring 95 goals and contributing numerous assists.

While his trophy cabinet at Old Trafford currently contains one EFL Cup and one FA Cup, his importance to the team remains undeniable, and his decision to reject Real Madrid will be a significant boost for the club and its supporters.
