Manchester United’s chiefs are intervening to try to resolve the issue between Jadon Sancho and Erik ten Hag.

Sancho was left off the matchday roster for the loss at Arsenal, according to Ten Hag, who blamed the winger for his performances in training.

Sancho responded immediately, claiming in a social media post that he was being used as a scapegoat.

The England international's future at Old Trafford is in jeopardy following a heated public argument with the boss but the top chiefs in Man United are looking to resolve the issue.

Man United football director trying to end dispute

The club's football director John Murtough and CEO Richard Arnold, according to the Daily Mail, have both chosen to enter "the centre of current talks to settle the disagreement."

Sancho "had conversations with United executives as the club attempted to draw a line under the public disagreement," according to this story.

Also, Murtaugh and Arnold "are actively participating in efforts to de-escalate tensions" between the player and management.

The chiefs are aware that the problem will not be easily solved, but Murtaugh is actively involved in trying to find a solution and Arnold is routinely updated on the status of those negotiations.

Sancho has since taken down the social media post, which is now being "viewed as the first step towards a resolution," according to reports.

Meanwhile, Sancho returned to training this week after being nominated to United's 25-man Premier League roster.

However, the former Dortmund star's inclusion in the matchday squad to play Brighton on Saturday is still up in the air.
