Pep Guardiola's Manchester City will be boosted by the news of Liverpool's latest setback ahead of their huge matchup this weekend.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has given an update on Cody Gakpo's fitness ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City this weekend.
Gakpo missed the 2-2 draw at Aston Villa due to a knock he picked up in the Merseyside derby against Everton.
And it seems he's still not ready to return to action. Slot said in his press conference on Thursday: "Let's see, let's see. I hope. I'm not 100 per cent sure."

FIFA ban: Nigeria and 11 other countries that have been suspended by world football body
The world football body recently banned Congo, Pakistan, and Russia from participating in the 2026 World Cup, but they are not the first to be dealt such a blow. Here are 12 countries that have been suspended by FIFA.
Gakpo has been a key player for Liverpool this season, contributing eight goals and three assists in 24 matches. His absence would be a big blow for the Reds.
To make matters worse, Liverpool will also be without defender Conor Bradley, who limped off with a hamstring injury against Aston Villa.
Bradley will undergo further assessment in the coming days, but he's expected to miss at least the next two games.
