Manchester City are reportedly showing strong interest in Italy international Gianluigi Donnarumma as Pep Guardiola sees him as a potential replacement for Ederson Moraes, who is potentially set to move to Saudi Arabia.

Reliable Italian sources, including Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, have confirmed Manchester City's interest in Italian goalkeeper Donnarumma, with the latter initially reporting the original story.

According to these reports, Donnarumma is tempted by the prospect of joining Manchester City, although his current contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until June 2026.
Negotiations between PSG and Donnarumma over a new deal have reportedly stalled, and PSG's recent signing of goalkeeper Matvei Safonov may be seen as the Italian goalkeeper’s starting spot being under threat in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Ederson headed for Manchester City exit
Guardiola has reportedly mentioned Donnarumma as a possible replacement for Ederson, who could move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Ederson has reportedly given the green light to a move to Saudi Arabia, with Al Itthad set to tempt the Cityzens into selling the Brazilian star this summer. The Saudi Pro League side are eager to add to their talented squad and have identified two Manchester City stars, Ederson and captain Kevin de Bruyne as possible additions to the the team.

The Italy captain has conceded 112 goals in 113 appearances with PSG since joining the Ligue 1 giants on a free transfer from AC Milan in the summer of 2021.
