Manchester City slapped ₦4 billion fine by Premier League for 22 breaches.

Premier League champions Manchester City have received a fine for breaching regulations on 22 separate counts.

Manchester City have been fined £2 million for breaching the Premier League's rules relating to kick-off and half-time of matches. 

The details 

Manchester City are the champions of the last four Premier League campaigns and six of the past eight. However, their incredible achievement is marred by their trouble with Premier League and UEFA regulations. 

They were charged with over 115 alleged breaches relating to financial irregularities, but they continue to maintain their innocence and are making their case in court. 

Those are not the breaches that have attracted the punishment announced today, however. The Premier League fined City for breaching rules relating to half-time and kick-off. 

They were charged for breaching on 22 separate occasions and have been fined £2 million as punishment. This has been explained to mean City players and staff have a penchant for lateness ahead of kick-off times.

Manchester City are not contesting these allegations, as Sky Sports reports that they have accepted the fine and apologised to the regulators, promising change. 

Meanwhile, Manchester City are still embroiled in legal battles over the 115 charges brought forward by the Premier League. Recently, a football hacker threatened to release incriminating emails which will allegedly prove City’s guilt
