- On the other hand, Arsenal fans can't lose their heads over this, they still lead the summit in the Premier League, and this defeat could just be the motivation they need to go all the way in the second half of the season.
- So, in what was the story of the night, league leaders Arsenal fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Etihad against defending Premier League champions Manchester City. A tournament which Arsenal have incredibly thrived in will now see the Gunners crash out in the fourth round this season.
