Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada says Erik ten Hag has the club’s full backing despite the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada has reaffirmed his support for manager Erik ten Hag, stating that the Dutchman remains the ideal candidate to lead the club forward.

Despite a lackluster start to the season, including a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool and a 2-1 loss to Brighton, Berrada emphasized that Ten Hag has the club's full backing.

"Do we still believe in Erik? Absolutely," Berrada said. "We think Erik is the right coach for us and we're fully backing him."

This vote of confidence comes after United triggered a one-year contract extension for Ten Hag in the summer, following a mixed season that saw the team finish eighth in the Premier League but win the FA Cup by defeating Manchester City in the final.

United will look to bounce back from their recent setbacks after the international break, with their next match against Southampton at St Mary's Stadium.
