Manchester United's Harry Maguire becomes unexpected target of mockery by Kenyan MP in political analogy.
Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire has once again found himself at the epicenter of political jests, this time being mocked by a Kenyan MP on a radio show.
Kimilili Member of Parliament, Didmus Barasa, during a chat on Spice FM on Wednesday, October 11, made headlines as he took a jibe at acting United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary-General Cleophas Malala, comparing his political inefficiency to the recent dip in form of Maguire.
"I can equate him with this Manchester United player who was once the leading scorer, but for scoring own goals. I don't think there's much difference between Cleophas Malala and Maguire," Barasa stated.

FOOTBALL Wayne Rooney eager ascent with Birmingham City begins
Wayne Rooney is announced as Birmingham City Football Club's Manager, supported by experienced coaches, promising exciting, ambitious developments for the club.
His most recent mishap was an own goal during England's friendly match against Scotland on September 12. This dip in form has seen him lose his once cemented place in the heart of Manchester United's defense, resulting in him moving down the club's pecking order.
Maguire's turmoil on the pitch has made him an unexpected focal point for political commentary. Interestingly, this is not the first instance where a politician has leveraged Maguire's on-field woes for a laugh or to make a political point.

Despite the critiques and the challenges, Maguire has shown resilience. Demonstrating his determination to turn things around, he was recently included in the England squad by coach Gareth Southgate for the October international fixtures.
He also provided an assist for Scott McTominay's winner against Brentford last Saturday, a game he started and had a decent outing to save Erik ten Hag's blushes.
