However, it is British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe who is reportedly set to buy a 25 percent stake in the club through his INEOS group but a new stadium is not among his plans.
The Glazer family, who own United, turned down Sheikh Jassim’s £6 billion offer for a total takeover of the and have instead sanctioned a partial sale despite putting the club on the market last year.
