The target man arrived at Old Trafford in January on an initial loan deal until the end of the season as United sought cover for the departed Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Dutchman finished the campaign with just 2 goals in 31 appearances with none of those coming in the Premier League and United have decided against turning his loan deal into a permanent move.
