Ruben Amorim is keen to improve his squad this summer after a dreadful season in the Premier League.

Manchester United have had a season like no other, and there is an agreement that the squad must be improved drastically to avoid a repeat next season.

The main focus is attacking reinforcements to remedy the lack of goals, but today's report links Amorim to a new defender, another area of concern.

According to The Athletic [via Manchester World], United are plotting a move for West Ham defender Jean-Claire Todibo.

United were heavily linked to last summer. However, a potential deal was blocked due to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's stake in OGC Nice, as both United and Nice qualified for the Europa League.

As a result, Todibo joined West Ham on loan instead, with an obligation to make the signing permanent for £35m at the end of the season.

Reports suggest that West Ham are open to selling Todibo for a profit, with a potential deal valued around £45m.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils also remain linked to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray. They are expected to face competition for his services and may turn their attention to Ipswich star Liam Delap.
