Maguire header saves 10-man Manchester United against Porto
Porto's bright start was undone on seven minutes as Marcus Rashford burst into the box, evading two challenges before slotting past Diogo Costa at the near post.
Rashford then turned provider, feeding Rasmus Hojlund, who beat Costa easily to make it 2-0.
The hosts got their act together and started to pour forward. Their bravery was rewarded with two goals in seven minutes.
Joao Mário's quality crosses did the damage. Noussair Mazraoui's header under pressure from Samu was inadvertently directed goalward, and Pepe pounced on Andre Onana's save to bundle home. Then, Samu thundered a header past the United keeper to level the game.
Rashford's halftime withdrawal hurt United, and Porto capitalized. Nico González released Pepe down the right, and his pull-back found Samu, who smashed into the top corner.
United's troubles worsened when Bruno Fernandes received a second yellow card for a high boot – his second consecutive sending-off.
When it looked like Porto would seal a famous win, Harry Maguire equalized with a stunning stoppage-time header from a corner.
