Manchester United are reportedly set to step up their interest in Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos ahead of a massive summer rebuild at Old Trafford.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has reportedly identified Benfica goal-machine Goncalo Ramos as the man to lead the Red Devils' attack next season.
Goncalo Ramos to Manchester United?
United are now preparing to make first contact with Benfica to snap up the Portugal striker who shot to global prominence when he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting line-up and scored a hat-trick against Switzerland in the World Cup last-16.
The Red Devils are desperate for attacking firepower with their only source of goals seemingly Marcus Rashford and the occasional effort from Bruno Fernandes.
Red Devils prepared to smash club record
According to Mirror Football, any deal for Ramos could eclipse the current club-record signing of Paul Pogba, who joined for £89.3 million from Juventus back in 2016.
Ramos has been on fire for Benfica this season, scoring 25 goals in 40 appearances for the Portuguese outfit.
