The Red Devils will host the LaLiga side for a Europa League showdown at Old Trafford.

Manchester United have been dealt another injury blow with Scott McTominay ruled out of the Europa League clash against Sevilla on Thursday.

Reports indicate the Scotland international – who did not train on Wednesday afternoon - will be sidelined for the quarter-final game, and the club sources, according to the Manchester Evening News, indicate the injury is not serious.

He scored the opening goal in United’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday in what was his fourth consecutive start.

Previously, he had scored four goals in two games for Scotland in their European Championship qualifying wins over Cyprus and Spain in March.

Although Erik ten Hag will be without McTominay, the expected return of Casemiro – from a four-match ban - is going to be a boost.

The return of Christian Eriksen is also going to provide more midfield options for the Dutchman as United challenge on three more fronts.

For his first appearance in four weeks, Eriksen came on in the second half against Everton, having recovered from an ankle injury.

Apart from McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Alejandro Garnacho, Donny van de Beek, and Tom Heaton are the other players unavailable for Ten Hag.

Rashford, who limped off in the late stages of their match against Everton, will be unavailable for a few games, according to the club, while Garnacho has been sidelined since Sunday, March 12 with an ankle injury.

Shaw was injured in the first half of the win against Brentford.
