Fresh from the sacking of Erik ten Hag, Manchester United host Leicester City at Old Trafford in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. Here are predictions, team news, betting tips, and possible line-ups for the game.

After over two years at the helm of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag's tenure has ended.

The club made the decision to part ways with the 54-year-old manager on Monday morning, following a disappointing 2-1 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday.

With former Red Devils striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy set to take charge on an interim basis, his first point of duty will be to help the team advance in a competition Ten Haag won in his first season in charge.

Manchester United thrashed Barnsley 7-0 to reach this round, with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho both bagging braces.

Leicester have played two rounds of the EFL Cup to reach this stage, first comfortably beating League Two side Tranmere Rovers 4-0 before squeezing past fellow four-tier outfit Walsall courtesy of a penalty-shootout triumph.

The Foxes are heading into this clash on the back of a 3-1 loss against Nottingham Forest last Friday, ending a two-match winning streak.
