Newcastle got a goal back to make it 3-2 in injury time after Casemiro headed a corner out which fell to Lewis Hall, who curled a lovely effort past Andre Onana.
Despite their late surge and getting a goal in injury time, Newcastle still fell to a 3-2 defeat leaving them a tight spot for European football next season.
